Clare studied at Birmingham University for a degree in Biological Sciences. After this, she studied for a Master’s Degree in Biological Electron Microscopy. She then studied for a PGCE in Primary Education. She has worked as a teacher in Early Years, KS1 and KS2 and has worked in Special schools as an EYFS, KS1, KS2 and KS3 teacher. She has taught in the UK and many other countries around the world during her career! She loves teaching as she loves to watch the progress children make and the growth in confidence that comes with this! Children teach her all the time, new ways to see the world and to look at things in different ways.
When she is not teaching, she practising yoga and meditation every day to keep her bendy in both my mind and body. She likes to watch live music and would travel anywhere to get to see The Pixies and The Foo Fighters play! She also likes to watch football and pretend that she understands the rules (are there rules?!). She enjoys travelling around the world and learning about different cultures and philosophies of life in different places…and of course she loves to eat the different foods (especially cakes) of the world!
