Rebecca attended Bangor University in the UK, where she completed a BA (Hons) in Primary Education leading to Qualified Teacher Status. She has also successfully completed a Masters in Educational Practice at Cardiff University. Rebecca has taught a range of age groups, from Nursery to Year 6, in her hometown in North Wales, which has given her a strong and broad understanding of the Primary Curriculum.
Rebecca joined BISS in 2017. She originally taught in Year 5 but has taught in Year 2 since August 2018. Rebecca is an excellent classroom teacher and year group leader, with a passion and commitment to teaching and learning. Rebecca endeavours to stimulate, challenge and support all children to learn effectively, in order to motivate them to reach their full potential. Rebecca’s classroom is a hub of learning where children are encouraged to be independent, discuss their learning and take pride in their work. She is very much looking forward to welcoming new and existing families to Year 2 at BISS Puxi.
Rebecca is a very active person. She loves skiing, hiking, mountain biking, running and road biking, and has worked as a children’s ski instructor in Canada. Rebecca has completed a half marathon and a 55 mile bike ride in aid of The Alzheimer’s Society. Rebecca has a love of travel and has enjoyed exploring China and South East Asia with her fiancé.
