Qing Yuan joined BISS Puxi in 2019, having taught Mandarin for several years at different international schools in West Africa and Thailand. She was born and grew up in Shaoxing, and studied Bilingual Education at Gannan Normal University. Qing Yuan completed her teacher training at Confucius Institute in Xiamen University.
Qing Yuan has experience of teaching a wide range of ages, levels and class sizes. She likes to bring different fun activities into her Mandarin classes, to create a relaxing and harmonious atmosphere for her students. In lessons, she enjoys using media, realia or role plays in her teaching, which she believes motivates learners. At the same time, Qing Yuan values the relationship with parents and uses Seesaw and email to share their children’s progress. Qing Yuan believes that learning Mandarin is valuable, not only to understand the language, but to also give a deeper understanding of the world better.
Qing Yuan enjoys travelling and experiencing different lifestyles from different cultures. She then likes to share her knowledge of the world with her students.
