Mala gained a BSC Honours in Computer Science from the University of Essex and followed this by completing her PGCE at Brunel University, London. From there, she has worked in various positions in London, initially as a teacher of Computer Science, progressing to Head of Department across a range of schools.
Mala then chose to leave the UK and went on to work in Japan and Egypt. Before joining BISS, she worked as Head of Department for two years at at school in Shanghai. In the classroom, Mala enjoys using technology in a creative way and she encourages her students to think creatively in their problem solving. Furthermore, Mala enjoys preparing her students for a technology-filled future and teaching them how to engage with it, take advantage of it and use it to broaden their ideas and opportunities.
In her free time, Mala enjoys travelling, cooking and spending time with her daughter who is currently in Year 8 at BISS.
