I attended Loughborough University where I completed my BSc degree in Sport and Exercise Science (finished in 2012). After completing this, I took up a Graduate Internship at the British International School, Phuket where I supported the PE department, extra-curricular and boarding programmes and first started to develop my teaching. I then came back to the UK to Loughborough University to complete my PGCE in Physical Education.
Upon qualifying as a teacher, I worked in a Secondary school in Buckinghamshire for 5 years, finishing as Second in PE. I was also School Sport Coordinator, organising numerous sports festivals for local Primary schools and training young Sports Leaders. I loved working in this part of the UK but the need to travel, experience new places and learn, drew me to BISS Puxi. My main teaching philosophy is ensuring PE lessons are fun, encouraging students to be open to different types of activity with the aim to find something they love.
I am an active person and like running and playing Hockey. I also love to travel and have spent many years exploring Asia, Europe and beyond. I enjoy trekking and have completed numerous World Challenge Expeditions to Thailand, Ecuador and Africa. I also love to spend time with friends and family and listen to live music.
