On the morning of Friday 22nd January, BCB Reception classes met at the Chacara Flora campus for some Minibeast fun as an introduction to our new topic, 'Minibeasts'.
We worked together in our house teams and learnt about the importance of teamwork and encouraging and supporting one another.
Before each race, we transformed ourselves into different minibeasts. We became butterflies for the butterfly race, frogs for the frog race, worms for the worm race and worked in groups of three for the 6-legged insect race.
We finished off with a snail race for which Headteacher Mr Young arrived just in time! He was crowned the champion snail before quickly transforming into a busy bee to take care of other school business.
After our races, we worked in our teams to complete a number of minibeast puzzles. We not only had great fun but also learnt lots about Minibeasts in preparation for our new topic.
