This years trip to Petar was as fun as it was exciting and the students and staff both had a terrific time. It began by learning about the history of the Quilombo (including learning about the way they hunted and grew crops) before progressing to exploring a range of contrasting caves. A Caverna do Diabo gave us all a sense of the enormous size a cave can reach, whilst the challenging environment of, agua suja allowed the children to overcome their fears by caving in the dark! The final day saw the unique experience of rafting down the river, capped off by a wonderful evening involving dancing and a campfire! The pupils themselves were superb throughout the trip, learning lots, having fun and bonding with each other. Overall, a fantastic experience!
