Extra Weekly Newsletter (2nd of September) Dear Parents, I wanted to write a special one-off newsletter today in support of one of our historically chosen school charities.

Dear Parents,

I wanted to write a special one-off newsletter today in support of one of our historically chosen school charities.

Last week I received a tremendous amount of information on how the PTA had been using your designated funds to support Casa da Criança during the pandemic. It is truly remarkable that this support has continued to extend for so many months.

Here is a summary of their most recent work on behalf of BCB: ‘Two weeks ago we delivered 64 food baskets for Casa da Criança families. These food baskets were the minimum to feed 4 people for 2 weeks. Today we delivered 64 more food baskets and hygiene products Additionally, we have also ordered 308 breathing masks for the 64 families and 13 employees (4 masks for each family) to be delivered until next Monday.

However, our funding has now come to an end and we would really like to try and continue our support, but we need some extra help if you can. The PTA have started some crowdfunding and so if you are able and willing to help, giving the families and children much needed continued support, then we would be extremely grateful. Here is a link to the site, the photo below shows you what you will see.

Miss. Mastrantone wrote to you at the end of last year with lots of information and some videos of the families saying thank you for your kind donations so please do take a look for a reminder.

As you will see in newsletters this week, the Secondary School have elected their student council and as the year progresses they will be working together, along with the PTA and the Primary Student Council, developing their understanding of active service as well as charity work so we will renew our support and commitment to other noteworthy causes too. For now, though, it would be great if we could help our PTA reach its target and as a community continues to show our commitment to helping others.

Warm regards,

Principal Nick West
