Our Newsletter
BCB Weekly Newsletter (4th of December 2020) Dear Parents, Today for Primary and next week for Secondary, you will receive this term’s reports for your children. As parents you eagerly await these to celebrate your child's success and also to support them in their stage of learning. Whether you are in your first term of school or about to take vital exams, we want to know that we are on the correct track. Academic outcomes are extremely important, and we do put an emphasis on these, but what I think is vital is the attitude to learning. Children with a positive attitude and growth mindset are going to do the best they can in the future. These features are reported in Secondary with a 1-4 scale and in Primary with their stage on the learner league. Please do celebrate these aspects with your children.

Dear Parents,

Today for Primary and next week for Secondary, you will receive this term’s reports for your children.

I have to pay tribute to our teaching staff for producing these full reports following a term of almost 100% completely virtual school. They have engaged with your children, encouraged, nurtured and supported them to make the maximum progress they can. As you will see, you will receive some detailed information about your children’s learning, their successes and next steps or targets to try and improve next term. I hope you will read and absorb them together and perhaps arrange a family treat to recognise the last term’s endeavours. I think you deserve that treat too.

A few weeks ago, I wrote about a charity project ‘Christmas Giving’ I am delighted to see some wonderful gifts starting to fill our reception area at CF and it would be amazing to see more. These children from Casa da Criança, with personalised gifts, are going to be delighted the moment they receive and get to enjoy their present. Please do click here  if you want to commit to supporting a child, it is such a great initiative.
