The children had a fantastic time preparing for their Christmas production through learning their lines, practicing their songs and learning the different actions.

This week saw three performances of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat by students from across the Secondary School, bringing together musicians, actors, technicians and managers to give life to Andrew Lloyd Webber’s famous musical.

Thursday, 3rd December, saw over 150 students from across the school perform in our Winter Concert. This event brought together students from Year 2 through to Year 13 to share their Performing Arts learning from both ECAs and the classroom. The Auditorium was full, the audience was excited and the students rose to the occasion: without exception each ensemble performed superbly.

Nord Anglia Global Campus takes education beyond the classroom. Bringing together our 69 schools around the world, it is a fundamental part of how we teach our students to be truly global citizens. The swimming squads have been training each morning from the start of the academic year. Their hard work was showcased on Tuesday afternoon when the team entered the NAE Global Campus Sports Competition: Swimming.

Tuesday night was a joyous occasion for our Year 12 students at BIS Hanoi. On Friday morning, Trung Tien Tran and Valerie Lua – our Head Boy & Head Girl – made their first speech in front of Secondary students as well as teachers. The whole auditorium was inspired by their speech and we are looking forward to an exciting year ahead with new changes in the Student Leadership structure.

Everyone associated with the British International School Hanoi (BIS Hanoi) is extremely proud that two of our students: Ha Minh and Sung Woo, successfully represented the school at the NAE-UNICEF Student Summit this Summer. The Summit is part of Nord Anglia Education (NAE)’s collaboration with UNICEF, and is hosted annually within the United Nations Headquarters in New York City.

We are incredibly proud to announce that our talented student, Eric Jang (soon to be in Year 6), recently took 1st prize in the 5th Chopin International Piano Competition in Thailand. Following on from that success, he also went on to take 2nd & 3rd place in the Hong Kong International Piano Competition.

Students at the British International School Hanoi (BIS Hanoi) have once again achieved strong results in the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme for the 2018/19 academic school year.

Almost 160 students and teachers from nine schools across Southeast Asia participated in a three-day event for young talented musicians led by Juilliard-affiliated conductor.

The British International School Hanoi will host the first Southeast Asia region Nord Anglia Performing Arts Festival in collaboration with The Juilliard School from 2-6 April, 2019. This exciting event gives students the opportunity to attend music performances and participate in unique workshops and rehearsals led by talented performers and music educators, including Julliard-affiliated conductor Radu Paponiu.

The British International School Hanoi is heading into the holidays with the perfect family musical: ‘Annie’ performed on December 12 & 13.

Today, we celebrated the extraordinary achievements of three BIS Hanoi students: Shin Sang Yun (Year 12), Hoang Hai Ha (Year 11) and Vu Hang Giang (Year 11).

It was a colourful display of costumes, flags, and music, where our whole community came together to celebrate our diversity.

This year, we have successfully raised approximately VND120 million for the school’s charity projects.
