Year 2 had a very exciting morning on Thursday this week when they were surprised with a tea party! The tea party was to help them develop their understanding of the nouns and adjectives used in the story as well as bringing the story to life.

The results are in! After careful consideration, Valerie Lua and Trung Tien Tran (both are in Year 13) have been chosen as our first-ever Head Girl & Head Boy at BIS Hanoi! This year, the structure of the Student Council would change with its members comprising the elected leaders of each Key Stage with the final Council being chaired by a Head Girl and Head Boy.

Everyone associated with the British International School Hanoi (BIS Hanoi) is extremely proud that two of our students: Ha Minh and Sung Woo, successfully represented the school at the NAE-UNICEF Student Summit this Summer. The Summit is part of Nord Anglia Education (NAE)’s collaboration with UNICEF, and is hosted annually within the United Nations Headquarters in New York City.

We are incredibly proud to announce that our talented student, Eric Jang (soon to be in Year 6), recently took 1st prize in the 5th Chopin International Piano Competition in Thailand. Following on from that success, he also went on to take 2nd & 3rd place in the Hong Kong International Piano Competition.

News | unicef Student ambassadors heading to New York for UNICEF Summit 07-08
Premium international schools group Nord Anglia Education offers a transformational education to students, which focuses not only on ensuring academic success but also on inspiring students to positively impact their individual communities and the world at large. As part of Nord Anglia Education’s collaboration with UNICEF, students across the globe have been raising awareness of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through projects at their schools. The SDGs are a collection of 17 goals set by the United Nations regarding social and economic development issues. Each year, the capstone event with UNICEF is when students from Years 10-12 visit New York for the NAE-UNICEF Student Summit.

On June 15th, 23 Year 13 students came together with over 120 of their teachers, family members and special guests to celebrate their Graduation at Almaz Convention Centre. The ceremony was filled with pride and joy as it was a celebration of the milestone they had just reached.
