Global Campus (GC) Junior is a dedicated area on Nord Anglia’s Global Campus for children Under 8 years old. There are four different sections in GC Junior for you and your child to explore and complete activities and projects at home. Some of these resources and activities are also used by our teachers in school.

The four areas include; Junior Story Sacks, Junior Forest School, Junior Elements Projects and Junior E-Safety. The Story Sacks are home to many learning opportunities based on your children’s favourite books. Books such as Elmer, The Gruffalo, The Hungry Caterpillar and We’re Going on a Bear Hunt are added to GC Junior every week. Within these story sacks, families can listen and watch the stories being read aloud and enjoy many learning activities connected to each book. Why not log in and find your favourite book together?

In the Junior Forest School, new ‘leaf’ activities are also added each week. These activities are based on learning opportunities for your child in the outdoors and using nature. You don’t need to live near a forest to do these activities at home as many of them can be completed in your garden or local area, be that in a town or city.

The Junior Elements Projects are a wonderful resource for all children, but especially those who are more independent. The children are posed with a challenge and they have to think of ideas to solve these problems. Two notable projects online now include ‘The Colour of Us’, which focuses and young children learning about race and diversity in an age-appropriate manner and ‘Not All Heroes Wear Capes’, which focuses on identifying and acknowledging the amazing work people in our communities do to help us.

Finally, and most importantly, GC Junior e-safety offers parents tips and guides on how to ensure your children remain safe and vigilant while using the internet and other online platforms. E-safety is always a key area of focus in school for all age groups and we hope the resources provided on Global Campus can also empower parents to become involved in e-safety at home too.
