We're proud to celebrate the outstanding achievement of Hye Yun (Year 9) in this year’s Global Campus Art Competition. Her artwork, Strong vs. Weak, has been recognised as Runner‑Up in Group 3 (Ages 11–14), a remarkable accomplishment in a highly competitive field of nearly 8,000 entries from 50 schools worldwide.
Hye Yun’s piece captured the attention of the competition’s external judges, who praised it as “an absolutely mesmerising painting.” Inspired by the natural wonder of Sơn Đoòng Cave, the artwork was noted for its exceptional use of light, colour, and shading, as well as its intricate detail and powerful emotional impact.
This international recognition highlights not only Hye Yun’s strong technical ability, but also her creativity and artistic vision. Her work reflects the depth of talent within the BIS Hanoi student community and the school’s commitment to nurturing creativity through the visual arts.
The Global Campus Art Competition brings together students from across the Nord Anglia Education network, offering a platform for young artists to showcase their work on a global stage. Hye Yun’s success is a proud moment for the entire BIS Hanoi community. We congratulate Hye Yun on this fantastic achievement and look forward to seeing her continue to develop her artistic talents in the years ahead.
