Fostering Community Spirit at the BritCham Fun Run 2023

Our BIS Hanoi members came together on Sunday, November 5th, to participate in the annual BritCham Fun Run.

This event, organised by the British Chamber of Commerce Vietnam to support local charities, provided a wonderful blend of quality family time, laughter, and healthy choices. It was a fantastic opportunity for us to give back to our beloved host country while also improving our physical fitness.

On the day of the race, BIS Hanoi families eagerly arrived at the park venue early in the morning, getting prepared for the run. Many of them also made a stop at the school booth to join in the exciting activities we had planned. The children were thrilled to join the quiz game, spin our lucky wheel, and receive their prizes.

Before the race began, we gathered for a memorable group photo, then set off on the 5-kilometre run, creating a truly wonderful morning for everyone involved.

The event was filled with laughter, energy, and a whole lot of running for a great cause. With the beautiful weather on our side, BIS Hanoi students, parents and staff ran with smiles on our faces, knowing that every step we took was making a difference. We cheered each other on, pushed our limits, and celebrated the joy of giving back.

We want to give a special shoutout and congratulations to the amazing runners from our school including Ms. Hop Tran, our Vietnamese teacher, Gabriel (Year 13) and his parents, Thanh Mai (Year 13) and her family, and all other parents, students and staff who reached the finish line with flying colors and below 30 minutes! You truly inspire us all!

A massive thank you to British Chamber of Commerce Vietnam for organising this wonderful event and to all participants who made it a huge success! Let's continue to run, support, and make a difference!
