The school continues to offer seven scholarship categories for students aged 9 to 16 in the Scholarship Programme for the 2026–2027 academic year. 

Building on the success of previous years, BIS Hanoi continues to award scholarships across a wide range of fields, recognising exceptional ability and encouraging students to pursue their passion.

The scholarship categories for the 2026–2027 academic year include:

  • Primary Academic Excellence Scholarships (Years 5–6)
  • Secondary Academic Excellence Scholarships (Years 7–9)
  • Academic Excellence Scholarships for the Cambridge IGCSE Programme (Year 10)
  • Academic Excellence Scholarships for the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) (Year 12)
  • Scholarships for Excellence in the Arts (Years 7–12)
  • Scholarships for Excellence in Technology & Design (Years 7–12)
  • Scholarships for Excellence in Sport (Years 5–12)

The scholarship programme is open to current BIS Hanoi students and students who wish to join the school at the start of the 2026–2027 academic year. Eligible applicants include students in Years 5–10 and Year 12, equivalent to Grades 4–9 and Grade 11 under the Vietnamese Ministry of Education and Training curriculum.

Scholarship assessments will be administered and marked by the Australian Council for Educational Research (ACER) to ensure fairness and international benchmarking. 

The application deadline is 30 January 2026. The selection process consists of two stages: an academic ability test followed by an interview with the school’s scholarship committee.

Through this diverse scholarship programme, BIS Hanoi aims to celebrate young talent across multiple disciplines, while providing opportunities for students to explore their interests, develop their strengths, and pursue their passions in a supportive international environment.

Reflecting on his experience, Geonyoung, BIS Hanoi Year 12 student, who received the Scholarship for Excellence in the Arts for the 2025–2026 academic year, said:“This scholarship is approval of my hard work and passion that I've made in BIS Hanoi. This is a really great addition for my personal profile that I will apply for university and it will help me to achieve goal that I wanted.”

To date, ten graduating cohorts from BIS Hanoi have successfully gained admission to more than 350 leading universities worldwide.
