On Monday, Year 6 children visited Minh Long Pottery company in Binh Duong province as a part of their Vietnamese culture lessons. Before the visit, the children have been learning all about pottery and designed the patterns to decorate their own pottery products.

At Minh Long workshop, the children observed 3 main phases of making pottery. The first phase was choosing the quality of the clay and forming a product, then choosing themes and drawing various designs and finally firing the product. After the observations, the children sketched their own patterns and coloured them.

The children really enjoyed creating their pottery plates which will be fired and ready to bring home in a few weeks.
