International Learn to Swim Week

International Learn to Swim Week is an annual event conducted in countries all over the world.

International Learn to Swim Week is an annual event conducted in countries all over the world. To participate in this fantastic opportunity, the Aquatics Department offered swimming lessons to the staff of BIS. Our staff had the opportunity to take part in 3 sessions. By participating in these sessions staff were able to learn new skills, refine technique or improve their fitness.

It was a fantastic week seeing so many staff take part in this opportunity and share our passion for the lifelong skill of swimming. Here is some of the feedback from our staff;

"Really enjoyed this. My target is to do 25m sprint with no breathing...And keep my head down! Thank you!!" - Ms Jules

Mr Vinh and I would like to thank everyone who came along and had a go. We were very proud to see how quickly everyone improved. The highlight of my week was watching three staff members learn a new stroke from scratch, what an amazing effort! We’re never too old to learn! Great job BIS!
