Intermediate Biology Olympiad 2020

Intermediate Biology Olympiad 2020 | British International School HCMC - intermediate-biology-olympiad-2020
Intermediate Biology Olympiad 2020 Congratulations to our Year 10 and Year 12 Biologists who took part in the Intermediate Biology Olympiad, which is organised by the UK Biology Competitions Committee and administered by the Royal Society of Biology.

Congratulations to our Year 10 and Year 12 Biologists who took part in the Intermediate Biology Olympiad, which is organised by the UK Biology Competitions Committee and administered by the Royal Society of Biology.

The Royal Society of Biology aims to contribute to the creation of a world that understands the true value of Biology and how it can contribute to improving life for all, whether that is in healthcare, climate change, food security or alternative energy sources.

The Intermediate Biology Olympiad challenges students’ biology knowledge and encourages them to continue studying the biosciences beyond their high school education. The competition consisted of a one-hour multiple choice test taken online covering topics studied in the IGCSE and IB Diploma curriculum.

Participating in the online competition is something that our students can be proud of, and helps them stand out when applying for Science-related degrees at University. They are each rewarded with a one year subscription to BioNet to allow them to further explore areas of interest, add depth to topics studied in school, and stay connected with modern Science.

Top scoring students are also awarded with publicly recognised certificates. The students will find out their results later this month. Well done to everyone who took part.
