Asia
This year, BIS HCMC students received many offers to top universities in Asia, including South Korea’s top 3 SKY Universities (Seoul National University, KAIST and Yonsei University), Singapore National University (SNU), now ranked number 8 in the world and Hong Kong University, now ranked number 17 in the world. Additionally, an offer was received from Osaka University, Japan also in the World’s Top 100 universities.
This year, we welcome Ms Hannah Moon to the University Guidance Team, specialising in guiding students through the Korean University application process. Alongside SKY, we saw offers from Korea University, Sungkyunkwan University(SKKU), Hanyang University and Chung-Ang University (CAU). Ms Moon shared, “Being accepted into one of South Korea's top universities is a challenge, but for a student to gain 2 or more offers at such fantastic institutions is an incredible achievement. South Korean universities only offer a small percentage of places to international students every year, so for our students to have gained 8 offers from the top 4 Universities in South Korea and 4 offers from the top 2 universities shows the high academic standards attained by our students here at BIS HCMC. I'm extremely proud of every one of you for your hard work, commitment, and determination both in your academic studies and your extracurricular activities beyond the classroom."
Australia
16 offers have already been received from Australian Universities and with many of our Australian bound students still to apply for March 2026 we expect this number to rise sharply. So far, we have offers from the University of Melbourne, the University of Sydney, the University of New South Wales (UNSW) and Monash University, all ranked in the Top 40 universities globally, alongside offers from the University of Western Australia, Curtin University, Deakin University, Flinders University and Swinburne University of Technology.
These universities are known for their global excellence in fields like medicine, engineering, business, and environmental sciences.
Specialist Institutions Globally
Alongside offers from the world’s leading universities, BIS HCMC students have also received offers from specialist institutions globally, universities renowned for excellence in art, design, music, and business.
Our creative students have secured places at respected art and design schools, including The Architectural Association in London, Berklee College of Music, the California Institute of the Arts (CalArts), and the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD). These institutions are internationally recognised for nurturing the next generation of artists, architects, musicians, and creative professionals.
For students pursuing international business pathways, offers were also received from leading European business schools such as ESCP Business School and Paris School of Business, known for their highly competitive, globally connected programmes.
Mr. Paul Rispin, Senior University and College Guidance Counsellor shared, "What an incredible year for our class of 2025. Little did we know that gaining 3 Oxbridge offers in one year was just the start. This year group went on to receive 3 Ivy League offers too and will be heading to elite universities around the world. What impresses me most is that there is little multiple counting going on here. Our Ivy League offer holders are not the same students who hold offers from Oxbridge, nor the same as the top Canadian and Australian and Asian offer holders. Students are being highly specific in their shortlists as they are looking for a style of Higher Education that provides the 'best fit' for them. Their teachers also deserve a lot of credit for the unwavering support they have given them. Congratulations to the class of 2025."
Looking Ahead
With additional offers from Australian, Singaporean and South Korean universities expected in the coming weeks as their admissions cycles continue, we look forward to celebrating even more success stories from the Class of 2025.
The journey for our graduates is only just beginning, and we can’t wait to see how they continue to flourish beyond BIS HCMC.
We wish all 110 of you the very best as you await your IBDP results and prepare to take your next steps at universities across the globe.
