Blue Swimming Squad update

On Tuesday 10th November 2020, our Junior Blue Swim Squad had their first Internal Swim Meet at the Secondary campus swimming pool.

On Tuesday 10/11/2020, our Junior Blue Swim Squad had their first Internal Swim Meet at the Secondary campus swimming pool. There were 21 students participating in 3 individual events: 100 Freestyle, 50 Backstroke and 50 Breaststroke. The meet ran smoothly with 30 new personal best times, with outstanding performances from Bao Han Nguyen (100 Freestyle), Benny Le (50 Backstroke), and Andrew Wu (50 Breaststroke).

Well done to Bao Han Nguyen – Girls Champion of 100 Freestyle and 50 Backstroke events and Jolisse – Girls Champion of 50 Breaststroke event. Congratulations to Do Won Kim – Boys Champion of 100 Freestyle events, Benny Le – Boys Champion of 50 Backstroke events and Andrew Wu – Boys Champion of 50 Breaststroke events. A fantastic effort to our winning relay team consisting of Andrew Wu, Hannah Smith, Myeisha Sogani and Do Won Kim who won in 3.28.63.

This was a great opportunity for our students, parents, and staff to familiarise themselves with our new touch-pad system.

A big thank you to the 12 lovely parents that assisted the running of our meet. We would not be able to run it without your help, what a great community at BIS!

We were so proud of our students who achieved their new personal best times. We did see a lot of improvements in technique and the approach and execution of racing.
