As a British international school, it is no surprise that many BIS HCMC graduates choose to continue their education in the United Kingdom — and this year is no exception. With record-breaking offers from some of the UK’s most prestigious universities, the UK looks set to be the number one destination of choice for our graduating Class of 2026, narrowly ahead of the United States.
Following our earlier news celebrating BIS HCMC students’ success with exceptional university offers across the United States, Australia and Asia, we are now proud to celebrate another remarkable set of outcomes from leading universities across the UK and Europe — further demonstrating the breadth of global pathways being pursued by this year’s graduates.

Together, BIS HCMC students secured 183 offers from UK universities alone, including offers from many of the world's highest-ranked institutions, reflecting another exceptional year of university success for the graduating Class of 2026.
What makes these outcomes particularly special is not only the calibre of universities, but also the extraordinary breadth of subjects and student ambitions represented. From Economics, Finance and Business Management to Engineering, Technology, Medicine and Biomedical Sciences; from Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Law and the Social Sciences to Architecture, Psychology and Environmental Sciences; and from Fashion, Film, Art and Design to Sport, BIS HCMC students continue to secure places at world-leading institutions across an exceptional range of disciplines.
Together, these achievements reflect the strength of BIS HCMC’s uniquely international and through-school community, with students from 13 nationalities securing offers across the world, many having begun their educational journeys at BIS HCMC in the Early Years.
The UK continues to be an extremely popular destination for BIS HCMC students, with 50 students from our cohort of 130 applying to universities across the United Kingdom. That’s 38% of the graduating Class of 2026 applying to UK universities this year, reflecting the continued appeal of the UK’s globally respected universities, specialised degree pathways and internationally recognised qualifications.
Together, these students received an outstanding 183 UK university offers — averaging between three and four offers per student — with many also securing offers from universities across North America, Europe, Australia and Asia.
These varied destinations reflect BIS HCMC's commitment to helping every student discover and pursue a pathway that is genuinely right for them, whether at a world-leading research university, specialist institution or creative conservatoire.
An outstanding 30% of BIS HCMC students applying to the UK secured offers from universities ranked amongst the world's top 10 according to the QS World University Rankings, including Imperial College London, the University of Cambridge and University College London.

The University of Manchester continues to be particularly popular amongst BIS HCMC students, known for its outstanding reputation across business, engineering, computer science and humanities, alongside its vibrant student life and strong international community. Earlier this year, BIS HCMC alumni from a variety of graduating classes came together in Manchester for our first overseas alumni gathering to share stories with each other and with our Principal, Mr Simon Higham. We look forward to the same again this year with many more of our new alumni joining.

Alongside traditional academic pathways, BIS HCMC students also secured offers from globally recognised specialist institutions in art, design, sport and STEM-focused disciplines — highlighting the diverse talents and ambitions of this year’s graduating class.

Alongside multiple offers from the University of Edinburgh and the University of Glasgow, both ranked in the QS Top 100 Universities Globally, students also secured five offers from the prestigious University of St Andrews — Scotland’s oldest university, internationally renowned for its rich academic heritage, outstanding student experience and global reputation for excellence. Additional offers were also received from the University of Dundee.
Scotland continues to attract international students through its combination of world-renowned universities, historic campuses, strong sense of community and breadth of degree options. Many students are also drawn to the Scottish university model, which often offers greater academic flexibility and the opportunity to explore subjects in more depth across four-year undergraduate programmes.
Beyond the UK, students also pursued university pathways across Europe, reflecting the increasingly international outlook and ambitions of BIS HCMC graduates. This year’s offers included destinations in Ireland, Italy, Switzerland and the Netherlands, with several students securing places at universities ranked amongst the top 100 in the world.
Among the many successes were offers from Bocconi University and Università Camillus in Italy, the University of Amsterdam, ranked 53rd globally, alongside Maastricht University and Wageningen University & Research in the Netherlands. Students also received offers from the Zurich University of the Arts in Switzerland and leading Irish institutions including Trinity College Dublin, ranked 75th globally, University College Cork and Dublin City University.
Congratulations to Alexis, Anjali, Emma, Gia Han, Gordon, JeongYun and Manav on securing exceptional offers from European universities.
Many European university decisions are still being finalised, with further offers expected in the coming weeks.
What also makes this year’s cohort unique is its extraordinary international diversity. Students applying to universities in the UK represent 13 different nationalities, including British, Vietnamese, Italian, American, Australian, Indian, Japanese, Mexican and South Korean students — highlighting the truly international nature of the BIS HCMC community.
Our Vietnamese students achieved particularly strong outcomes, accounting for over 36% of students receiving UK university offers — an achievement that reflects both the aspirations of local families and the global opportunities available through an international education at BIS HCMC.
Importantly, more than a quarter of these students began their BIS HCMC journey in the Early Years, joining the school between the ages of two and five. Their success is a powerful reflection of the long-term impact of a through-school education built upon strong foundations, personalised support and a learning environment designed to nurture curiosity, confidence and ambition from the very earliest years.

These outcomes reflect the strength of BIS HCMC’s unique learning journey — combining the International Primary Curriculum and English National Curriculum with IGCSEs and the IB Diploma Programme, alongside an enrichment programme that extends far beyond the classroom. Through leadership opportunities, global collaborations, performing arts, sport, service learning and industry-connected experiences, students are empowered to discover and pursue pathways that are genuinely right for them.
As students now prepare to embark on the next stage of their journeys following graduation, these outcomes reflect far more than academic success alone. They represent years of curiosity, resilience, ambition and personal growth — qualities that have been nurtured throughout each student’s journey at BIS HCMC.

From world-ranked universities and specialist institutions world-wide, the diversity of destinations reflects the truly international mindset of this graduating class.
Following the release of their IB Diploma Programme results later this summer, our graduates will make their final university decisions. With such an exceptional range of offers from leading universities across the world, we wish all of our graduates the very best as they make what will undoubtedly be some exciting — and difficult — choices about the next stage of their educational journeys.
BIS HCMC is incredibly proud of all that these students have achieved and looks forward to seeing the people they become and the impact they will continue to make in universities, industries and communities across the world in the years ahead.
