The learning never stops at our Boston private school.
In fact, a group of teaching staff have starting meeting twice a month as part of the new Teaching and Learning Forum. Through these meetings, teachers share best practice, tips and techniques that help students to learn.
A recent focus has been differentiation, a practice that helps personalize our learning for each individual student. At the next forum meeting, teachers will engage in "differentiation speed dating," during which rather than focus on one idea, staff are coming to the session with a teaching technique in mind and sharing it in a speed dating format.
Highlighting to students that the teachers of BISB are themselves interested in learning helps students to understand the importance learning plays in life after school. And sharing best practice among our teachers ensures we are constantly working to give students the best learning opportunities possible.
