On Friday 28th January, BISB co-hosted with Budapest, and acted as the hub for a live stream Performing Arts showcase consisting of performances from all of our fantastic students across six schools in Europe.

The live stream, broadcast on YouTube, was a culmination of student‘s work in the performing arts from schools in Budapest, Dublin, Madrid, Warsaw and Prague, who prepared showcases based on different projects for different age groups. These included:

Year 6: Play in Two Days - A scene from the musical Pirates of the Curry Bean

Year 9: Fantasia – Performing Arts project to include and combine music, dance and drama

Year 10: Postcard From...- A representation of the participating school’s city or country using the medium of the performing arts.

Year 12: Podcast Fairytale – A Podcast play inspired by a fairytale and solely created by students collaborating virtually across Europe. Students created the story, recorded narration, sound effects, and composed the music!

The festival was a truly unique experience and achievement for everyone involved and a real testament to all of our student’s determination, passion, and ongoing resilience in the performing arts throughout these difficult times.

A huge well done to everyone!

If you’ve not had a chance to see our students performing, please do go to the links below as the recordings will remain on YouTube for a while.

We’ll also be sharing the fantastic work from our KS5 students in the next few days so you can see what they created – very impressive!
