On Monday 19th June, Primary students had their End of Year Ceremony where they got to review all the wonderful things that have happened throughout the year. After this, Year 6 stayed and celebrated their Graduation from Primary with their families.
Last month, BSB Sanlitun had a Maths Week where the focus was encouraging entrepreneurship amongst our pupils. Each year group came up with an original way of raising money for our chosen charity - New Hope Foundation.
I would like to take this opportunity to express my thanks and appreciation on behalf of MCF to the Parents’ Association and the parents of BSB Sanlitun for organizing, sponsoring and supporting the MCF foundation in such an immensely generous way.
We were super excited today when the Cambridge Mask Company came to school to deliver the fantastic masks designed by Year 4’s very talented Hudson Mitchell Denney.
Last week I had the pleasure of escorting four of our Year 6 pupils, Chloe, Jai, Soyoon and Leroy, to Boston USA, to attend the Nord Anglia Education MIT STEAM festival.
After weeks of hard work, auditions, practices and even the occasional temper tantrum, last Friday the final of the annual talent competition: ‘Sanlitun’s got Talent took place. The final 8 acts took to the stage to produce a spectacular and diverse show full of fun, laughter and remarkable creative ability.
Earlier in the year we launched a special competition in partnership with The Cambridge Mask Company for the children to design their very own pollution mask. Today we were very pleased to announce the winner of the competition…
Linked to the 'Curious Cities', children from Pre-Nursery to Year 6 are invited to enter this fantastic mask design competition. The very lucky winner, whose design is chosen, will have their mask produced by the Cambridge Mask Company!
Following on from the U9 success, it was now the turn of the Y5/6 children to showcase their talents at the U11 JISAC Invitational Football Tournament at the Beijing City International School (BCIS).
Once again BSB Sanlitun returned back to Beijing with medals strung around their necks jingling and jangling all the way home from a very successful Primary FOBISIA Games.
Our friends, iD Beijing (The International Diplomatic Network), in association with The British School of Beijing, Sanlitun, is proud to present FUNDANCIA, the first ever family ball in Beijing.
BSB Sanlitun will be competing in the B1 Primary FOBISIA Games (Federation of British International Schools in Asia) which will be held at St. Christopher’s International Primary School (SCIPS) Penang, Malaysia in May 2016. The games are a 3-day competition playing four different sports; football, t-ball, swimming and athletics.
The annual Charity Art Auction is one of the highlights on social our calendar and we are counting down the days to the event. The children and class parents have worked together to produce some amazing pieces of art inspired by the pop art theme and other creative inspirations.
