Dear Parents,
Back to School Update
I trust this letter finds you and your family safe and well. I am writing with further updates that we received last night from the CYEC regarding our back to school arrangements and the documents that are required and protocols that are now in place for all students returning to school in on Wednesday, 1st September.
The main point to be aware of is whether your child has been in Beijing since Monday, 9th August and whether they have visited any Medium/High Risk areas. This will determine if your child needs to have an Acid Test within 48 hours of returning to school.
Parents of children in Early Years need to be aware that if they fall into the category of needing to have an Acid Test before returning to school, they may submit either their child’s test result or one from either parent instead, if they prefer.
Situation A:
The student has not left Beijing from 23rd June 2021 to 1st September 2021 OR if the student has left Beijing but has already returned to Beijing before 9th August and has not visited any Medium/High Risk areas. The student needs to submit the following 2 documents:
Situation B:
The student does not belong to the above Situation A, i.e. the student returned to Beijing on/after 9th August or they have been to Medium/High Risk areas; they must be in Beijing for 21 days before the start of school and submit the following 3 documents:
I will write again with any further updates as and when we get them. In the meantime, we are very much looking forward to welcoming the children back to school next Wednesday.
Please note the attached Health Declaration Form supersedes all previous documents issued.
With best wishes.
Yours sincerely,
John Brett MA
