The students continued to learn about body parts. They had so much fun singing the Chinese version of ‘Head, shoulders, knees and toes’. They can sing in Chinese and dance to the ever increasing tempo. The students also learned to read and write the Chinese characters for ‘head’ and ‘hand’.
The students learned how to speak about daily routines. We did a variety of speaking activities to practise the language. The students learned how to express their interests such as ‘Every day I eat breakfast at 7:00 in the morning’; ‘Every day I get out of school at 3:30 in the afternoon’, ‘Every day I have lunch at 12:15’, etc. We played lots of games with different classroom activities the children loved!
Students put on their thinking caps to assemble Chinese character puzzles! They used their Connection Finding skills and knowledge of Chinese to create characters out of slices of strokes and pieces.
The students read the story ‘The coolest sunglasses’ and they were so proud of themselves for being able to read the story in Chinese characters. They had so much fun acting out the story and dressing up as the characters in the story.
