Recently students at BSB Sanlitun started their Indoor Athletics Unit, which includes long jump, high jump and javelin throw.
Last week we guided the students to learn the skill of long jump. As a classic traditional event of the Olympic Games, the long jump is deeply loved by people all over the world.
Inspiring students' interest in sports and helping students to challenge themselves and break through boundaries has always been the guiding philosophy of our PE team. We encourage our students to Be Ambitious and improve their physical fitness through continuous effort. The students learned the fundamental technique of long jump, and its potential areas of difficulty, and dedicated themselves to repeated practice. We were pleased to see students lose their fear of jumping and landing and challenge themselves to get better.
It was extremely gratifying to see that all students, no matter their year group, competed with their classmates in attempt after attempt, hoping to get better results. We were especially proud of those students who chose to Be Resilient and overcame their initial uncertainty. It is great to see the students create an active and hard-working atmosphere in their class and encourage each other to succeed.
We hope that in the rest of the athletics unit, and throughout the rest of the year, we can continue to provide students with many more opportunities to challenge themselves, dare to compete and Be Ambitious. We are very excited to see our students’ performance in the upcoming House Indoor Athletics Competition!

What a wonderful day we had hosting our annual Chinese New Year Temple Fair on campus on Sunday. This great community event included games, a Lion Dance, Dragon Dance, a face changing performance, traditional crafts, a bouncy castle, food vendors and gift stalls. Thanks to everyone who made the event possible and magical!
Before the holiday break, we had the privilege of hosting a memorable awards ceremony to celebrate the outstanding achievements of our students in sporty After-School Activities (ASAs). This special event allowed us to recognise the dedication, effort, and talent demonstrated by our students throughout the term.
Today, our students had the wonderful opportunity to take part in two live broadcasts with CNN and on the important topic of Climate Change.
