We were delighted to have Year 1 parents into school during science week. It was fantastic to see our parents and children working together and thinking Scientifically.
During this Science event the children and parents worked together to grow their own food. They had to collect seeds from vegetables and create their own biodegradable plant pot. Everyone really enjoyed planting their seeds. We are looking forward to having loads of home-grown vegetables soon.
We also completed a plant dissection activity. The children enjoyed becoming the teacher and explaining to their parents how to dissect a flower and label all the key parts and what they do.
