This week Year 1 have been learning all about fractions. They have dived right into how to make equal parts with shapes and numbers using halves and quarters. The Year 1 children halved their snacks with ‘monster’ friends to find halves of numbers.
The highlight of our fraction unit so far is making pizzas! The children were challenged to make their own pizza and then cut them into quarters to share with friends.
Fractions mean you get to share with friends, which is why fractions are fantastic!
