Another wonderful week for the Year 1 children!
This week we celebrated Cultural Week at school! We began our week discussing what Cultural Week is all about and what cultures we identify with.
Throughout the week, we learnt about the history of pretzels and how to make them! Later on in the week, we baked and ate our very own pretzels and they were DELICIOUS!
Year 1 also had a chance to go to the cultural stalls. Parents from BSB made a huge effort to set up stalls with items, gifts and information about their countries. We all had many parents come to the class to do activities with the children that are linked to their cultures. We had activities such as, tie dying, games based around the Dragon Boat Festival, food from Hong Kong, accessory making and many more fun events. Our Year 1 always love doing activities with their parents and we are extremely thankful to all of them.
