Not many people have the privilege of living in a completely noise-free home. However, our Performance Choir had an opportunity not to just spend the day in one of the rooms like this but enjoy all the benefits of a professional recording studio with all the features that we won’t find in our own home or even school. This included professional equipment, soundproofing and even an acoustically treated room.
We learned a lot about the functions of the recording industry and what the responsibilities of a recording studio sound engineer are. We enjoyed recording our voices using the microphones and headphones and collaborating with each other in smaller groups, duos or even quartets. We enjoyed recording our harmonies and even producing a short video clip to go along with our selected song.
We understood the importance of high-quality recording and that this process ensures that our audience can better hear and understand what we are singing or saying. But not only that this type of recording makes us look more professional, but it also gives people even better impression and understanding of why we are so passionate about singing.

Today, our students had the wonderful opportunity to take part in two live broadcasts with CNN and on the important topic of Climate Change.
