Join Our Open Morning
The last two weeks have been a time of settling in, routines and making friends. It has been pleasing to see more smiling happy faces each morning and less tear when the children say good-bye to Moms and Dads. The Pre-Nursery children are getting familiar with their surroundings and understanding what is school. They have been interacting with different settings, classroom, playground, cafeteria, ect., and how to behave and tidy up after themselves.
The Pre-Nursey children are familiar with our classroom routines to change our shoes when they arrive in the morning. They have grown in independent skills to tack the task by themselves. Many of the children enjoying singing and dancing during circle time. It's pleasing to see the children follow along with some of our favourite songs, like 'Baby Shark' and 'Wheels on the Bus'. Circle time is also when the children are reminded of our rules; it shows they are listening by how well they have been tidying up! A fun project we worked on was the children’s handprint and making a fun memory of their first days in Pre-Nursery.
As the Pre-Nursery children grow over the next couple of weeks, we will build confidence in each child by keeping our routines and introducing new topics and skills. As they settle more we will encourage them to try new ideas and make many new friends.
