The Nursery children have been busy learning about Chinese New Year traditions and Chinese traditional stories, like The Legend of Nian and The Great Race.
We have used these stories to talk about our emotions and begin to use ordinal words to retell parts of the stories. Throughout the week, our little ones have been immersed in a variety of activities that celebrate the Year of the Dragon as well. They have participated in dragon dances, listening to traditional music, and creating their own dragon crafts.
They have also discovered the importance of family gatherings during this festive season and learned about the significance of various customs.

Our Year 1 and 2 students shone bright at this year’s KS1 Sports Day, showing off their team spirit, determination, and impressive sporting skills! From running and jumping to throwing and space hopping – they did it all with enthusiasm and heart.
Our young adventurers in Year 3 took on two days full of fun, laughter, learning, and a touch of bravery on their Residential Trip this week. They returned with stories, smiles, and some seriously impressive new skills.
