We are thrilled to share with you that 12 of our talented mathematicians recently participated in the KL Junior Maths Challenge (KLJMC) at Garden International School. Our teams “The Irrational 3” and “cos why not” from Year 7 and “Root the Tri-Hards" and “?” from Year 8 competed against other schools in KL in a series of maths competitions.
The event included an Individual round, a Codebreaker round, and a Maths Puzzle Carousel round, before culminating in the exciting Dragon Maths relay event, combining lots of running with lots of Maths!
We are proud to congratulate all of our students who participated: Amishi (Y7), Yee Rui (Y7), Josephine (Y7), Chaejun (Y7), Ellie (Y7), Jun Li (Y7), Simon (Y8), Isabelle (Y8), Megan (Y8), Scott (Y8), Grace (Y8) and Si Rui (Y8).
We would also like to give a special shoutout to Yee Rui, who placed 2nd in the Year 7 Individual Competition, and to Simon, who placed 1st in the Year 8 Individual competition and received the Silver award in the overall individual division.
We are already looking forward to next year's KLJMC, which will be hosted here at BSKL. Thank you to all of our students for representing our school so brilliantly!
