This championship saw participation from seasoned National, State as well as local and foreign club athletes.
Competing in the Women's Open category for both the Discus and Javelin events, Sasha faced formidable opponents most of whom were older than her. Sasha clinched the Gold medal in the Discus event, a remarkable achievement considering the fact that this was a Women’s open event with no age limit. She also went on to place fourth in the Javelin Women’s open competition, once again competing with athletes above her age category.
Sasha's athletics journey and achievements continue to be a source of great pride and inspiration for all of us at BSKL. A journey that started when she was picked to represent the BSKL Lions when she was 9 years old and one that has gone from strength to strength with each passing year, leading to her first Women’s open gold medal. Her exceptional dedication and sporting spirit are an inspiration to younger BSKL athletes.
