Cobis - Cobis
BSKL recognised for excellence in student welfare provision
During the recent Council of British International School (COBIS) accreditation visit, BSKL was acknowledged and commended for our excellent approach to supporting student welfare.

The visiting accreditor stated, "pastoral support is truly a core strength of the school and relationships between staff and students are excellent." She went on to share that "staff, parents and students all commented on the commitment and focus of the school on this provision in meeting the needs of the students, and it has an effective structure and information flow to support this."

As a result, BSKL was awarded "Beacon Status" for student welfare provision within COBIS which means the school is recognised as one of excellence within the COBIS network of schools and is one from which other schools could model their improvement efforts in student welfare provision on. The accreditor's final report detailed "the school is commended for their multi layered and comprehensive approach to pastoral care and the authentic and impactful way wellbeing and EDI education for the whole community has been integrated into the system. This is truly outstanding."

At BSKL one of our core commitments is that our students will learn withina culture of a happiness that fuels success. Outstanding student welfare provision is a core component of delivering on this commitment and we are all proud of the support we have in place for our most precious community members and for the subsequent recognition we have received from COBIS.The pastoral teams at BSKL are led by Deputy Heads, Mrs Stringer and Mrs Humphrey and their dedication to our students and their roles has allowed our positive culture to flourish
