In a school where students, parents and staff represent dozens of nationalities and languages, our classrooms are living examples of global citizenship in action. Whether it's through shared stories, traditional dress days or discussions about international festivals, our students learn from each other every day - not just about maths, reading and science, but about the world they live in.
Next week, multiculturalism will be celebrated magnificently during International Week, but it is also woven into the fabric of everything we do. In Primary School, this isevident in the stories we read, the languages we hear on the playground, the foodwe’ll taste at the International Fair and the perspectives our students bring to their learning. We actively encourage children to be curious about the world and proud of their heritage and home languages, while developing respect and empathy for others.
This year, we’ve seen many wonderful examples of this in action, like the students who are currently representing BSKL on the international stage at the FOBISIA Games in Bangkok. We are especially proud of how our students are growing up surrounded by diversity and unity. They are learning, day by day, what it means to belong not only to the BSKL school community, but to a global one.
Thank you to all families for being part of that journey - and for the cultural richness each of you brings to our school. We can’t wait to celebrate this further during International Week.
Have a great weekend everyone.
