On Saturday, 17th May 2025, twelve enthusiastic students from our school—six from Year 7 and six from Year 8—took part in the Kuala Lumpur Junior Maths Challenge (KLJMC), an exciting and fast-paced mathematics competition held at the International School Parkcity (ISP).
Representing Year 7 were Hajun, Ronson, Seojin, Ho Yi, MiQra and XinYa. From Year 8, we had Aijaz, Conus, Weikang, Luna, Matilda and Yuju. Together, they formed a strong and spirited team, ready to tackle the challenges ahead.

The event featured four rounds designed to test a wide range of mathematical skills: the Individual Round, the Construction Round, the Gameshow Round, and the ever-popular Dragon Maths Round. Each round brought unique puzzles and high-energy problem-solving opportunities, demanding quick thinking, collaboration, and precision.

Our students performed brilliantly across all rounds, demonstrating not only their mathematical abilities but also their teamwork and enthusiasm. A special congratulations goes to Seojin in Year 7, who achieved an outstanding second place in the Individual Round and also his team secured third place in the competition. Overall, BSKL claimed a creditable fourth place.

Beyond the results, the day was filled with excitement, camaraderie, and a shared love of maths. All twelve students represented the school with pride and returned with smiles on their faces and stories to tell.

We’re incredibly proud of their efforts and achievements—well done to the whole team!
