Day 1: Athletics & Swimming
The Games began with a mix of excitement and nerves as our athletes entered their first events. A team talk from Miss Beacroft set the tone: "Do yourself and your team proud - try your best." And they certainly did.
Athletics Highlights: Dara flew to gold in the 800m, our girls dominated the throwing events with medals in Javelin, Shot Put, and Discus, and we saw strong results in the jumps. The Girls Relay team stunned the field to win gold in the 4x100m, while the Boys Relay team delivered slick changeovers to claim bronze.
Swimming Success: Incredible determination in the pool led to 12 medals in the 25m events, and our A Team made a splash in the Tyre Relay, earning bronze.
Final Results: 4th place in both Swimming and Athletics, narrowly missing 3rd by just 8 points!
Day 2: Tee-Ball
Tee-Ball brought both challenges and triumphs.
The B Team, despite some early misfortune, showed great character - winning all their final matches to finish 5th. Notably, they drew with the eventual B Division winners (10-10), highlighting their excellent potential.
The A Team bounced back from a tough opening loss to defeat Regents Pattaya and face top seed St. Christopher’s Penang in the semi-finals. With grit and precision, they pulled off a sensational win, advancing to the finals. In a thrilling final against North London Collegiate Singapore, the A Team fought valiantly, finishing with a well-deserved silver medal after a narrow 2-run loss.
Day 3: Football Glory
The final day was all about Football - and what a day it was.
Both our Boys and Girls teams topped their pools, advancing to the semi-finals with focus and fire. The Girls faced a 0-0 scoreline at half-time in the final. A tactical formation change led to two quick goals, sealing the win and crowning them FOBISIA Girls Football Champions. The Boys led 1-0 with two minutes to go when their opponents equalised. Undeterred, they surged ahead in extra time, scoring twice to become FOBISIA Boys Football Champions.
It marks the first time in BSKL history that both the Boys and Girls U11 teams have won gold in the same year - an extraordinary accomplishment.
A tremendous thank you to our parent community for your support, energy, and encouragement throughout the journey. To Mrs Sackley, Mr Booth, and Mr Carus - thank you for your unwavering dedication, expertise, and care in preparing the team.
This year’s FOBISIA Games was not just about medals; it was about moments, memories, and the magic of sport. We are incredibly proud of our 24 athletes. You have truly made history.
