We are proud to share the fantastic achievements of our students in this year’s British Biology Challenge, a prestigious international competition organised by the Royal Society of Biology. The competition is designed to test students’ understanding of Biology concepts linked to the I.G.C.S.E. curriculum and beyond, encouraging learners to apply their knowledge to new and unfamiliar contexts.
A group of 30 students from Year 9 and Year 10 took on the challenge this year, demonstrating great enthusiasm and commitment to their learning.

This year, over 42,000 students from around the world took part in the challenge. Achieving recognition in such a large and competitive field is a remarkable accomplishment, and we are thrilled to celebrate the success of our students.

8 students earned a Silver award, placing them in the top 15% of the global cohort.

7 students earned a Bronze award.

6 students received a Highly Commended award.

5 students received a Commended award.

These results reflect the students’ curiosity, dedication, and deep engagement with the subject. We commend them for their hard work and congratulate them on their well-deserved success.

We would also like to thank Dr Sophie Ainsworth for supporting and preparing students for this enriching opportunity.

Well done to all involved!
