That’s why, over the summer, we gave some of our much-loved areas around campus a fresh new look creating brighter, more welcoming environments for our students and families to enjoy every day.
One of the most exciting changes has been the transformation of the Lower Hill canteen into a whole-school dining space, welcoming both Primary and Secondary students. With the new staggered lunch hours in place, every child can enjoy a comfortable, relaxed mealtime whether they’re sharing stories with friends or taking a quiet break in the middle of a busy day. More than just a place to eat, the canteen has become a shared hub for our school community.
The Lower Hill Campus library has also been refreshed, now featuring a bright, cozy nook area where students can curl up with a book, study in comfort, or simply enjoy a moment of calm plus offering the perfect blend of comfort and inspiration.
Over at the Secondary Campus, families were welcomed back to a brighter reception area, while students now benefit from improved classrooms, new breakout spaces, and a student lounge designed just for them.
Our Principal, Dr.Mike O’Connor, has been at the heart of these changes. He believes strongly that every improvement we make should reflect the energy and aspirations of our community. “These enhancements are about more than buildings, they are about creating spaces where students can thrive,” he shared.
And we’re not stopping here. During the upcoming winter break, the astro turf will be replaced and a new walkway path added, giving our students and community even more to look forward to.
At BSKL, we’re always looking for ways to grow and improve, because when our students are happy in their environment, they’re free to imagine, explore, and create their future.
