During last academic year, the 2024/25 Empowered to Succeed Awards was a truly memorable evening, recognising students who shone in academics, the arts, sport, and community life.
Last academic year event marked a special milestone as it was the first time the ceremony was hosted on campus, taking full advantage of BSKL's spectacular Theatre.
Guests were treated to a vibrant programme that showcased the diverse talents of our students. Alongside inspiring musical performances, the evening featured, for the first time, outstanding dance routines and captivating dramatic solo recitals. A highlight of the night was a keynote speech by a distinguished alumnus, returning to BSKL after an acclaimed career in orchestral music — a fitting tribute to the power of perseverance and passion. One of the most exciting additions to the ceremony was the introduction of the Legacy Award, designed to honour students whose achievements stand out even among exceptional peers. This accolade is reserved for extraordinary circumstances and will not necessarily be presented every year. We were delighted to recognise two remarkable students as its inaugural recipients. As we celebrate the achievements of 2024/25, we look forward with excitement to what our students will accomplish in 2025/26.
