This has been a term filled with academic progress, creative expression, memorable events, and many moments of kindness and personal growth. It has been a pleasure to see our students challenge themselves, celebrate one another’s achievements, and contribute so positively to the spirit of the school.
With the Christmas break now upon us, I would like to gently remind families of a few expectations that will help ensure a smooth and confident start to the new term in January.
Uniform Expectations
Students are expected to arrive each day in full and correct BSKL uniform. This includes appropriate footwear, the school tie, and the correct PE kit on scheduled active days. A smart, consistent appearance supports readiness for learning and helps foster a sense of belonging. The holiday may be a good time to check that items still fit comfortably, are clearly labelled, and are in good condition.
Hairstyles and Hair Colour
As a reminder, hairstyles should be neat, natural in colour, and appropriate for school. Extreme styling, tramlines, and bright or unusual dyes are not permitted. If your child is planning a haircut or colour change over the holiday, we kindly ask that families keep these guidelines in mind to ensure a relaxed and positive return in January. Taking a few moments over the break to review these expectations will help students begin the new term feeling organised, settled, and ready to learn.
As we look back on the past few months, we are immensely proud of how our students have approached their studies, friendships, and wider responsibilities. Their enthusiasm, curiosity, and compassion make BSKL the warm and vibrant community we treasure. Thank you for the support you give at home, it truly makes a difference.
I wish all our families a peaceful, restorative, and joyful Christmas break. Whether you are travelling, celebrating, or simply enjoying quieter days together, I hope the holiday brings warmth and happiness. We look forward to welcoming everyone back in January for another exciting term of growth, opportunity, and discovery at BSKL.
