Celebrating BSKL Primary Students’ Outstanding Academic Success on the Global Stage - Term 1 Primary Achievement
Celebrating BSKL Primary Students’ Outstanding Academic Success on the Global Stage
Term 1 saw a range of incredible achievements from our students in national and international academic competitions.

There were so many victories, medals, trophies and moments of personal progress. Firstly, congratulations to Satch, Sidd and Hann, who triumphed in the Junior Division of the Global Round of the World Scholars’ Cup in August. Their success in the world's biggest multidisciplinary academic competition reflects their exceptional teamwork, critical thinking, and global awareness.

In mathematics, Marco and Elaine demonstrated outstanding aptitude and problem-solving skills by earning Gold Medals in the Kangaroo Maths Competition. They scored in the Top 1% of 77,000 students across Malaysia who participated in the competition, the world's biggest mathematical contest. Adding to these remarkable accomplishments, Mayvin was selected to represent Malaysia at the World Mathematics Team Championship in Bangkok. These extraordinary achievements are a testament to the children's mathematical excellence and perseverance.

Meanwhile, the results of last October's International Spelling Bee Competition (ISB) have been published, and our students have performed very well.

  • 2 students earned Silver Medals (Top 5% globally) – Alistair and Aisha
  • 5 students earned Bronze Medals (Top 10% globally) – Damien, Innaya, Vaanya, Graham, Ethan
  • 13 students earned A+ certificates (Top 20% globally)

These achievements highlight the strength of our academic provision and the commitment of our teachers to nurturing curiosity and excellence. We are immensely proud of our students for their hard work and determination, and we look forward to seeing them continue to shine on the global and national stage.

We are especially proud of the outstanding participation in academic competitions and CCAs throughout Term 1. Our competition programme is intentionally designed to be inclusive and accessible, giving every child the chance to experience progress, the excitement of competing, and the pride of representing their school. It also fosters the camaraderie and teamwork that make these experiences so rewarding. We are continually delighted to see so many students embracing these opportunities and benefiting from the confidence, skills, and friendships that come from active participation in academic challenges.

Congratulations to all our champions and all our participants - you inspire us every day!
