Waves of Success! A Recap of Our FOBISIA D1 Swim Championship Journey
A huge congratulations to our incredible swim team for an outstanding performance at the FOBISIA Division 1 Swim Championship in Thailand last weekend!
The event brought together over 500 elite swimmers from 15 top schools across Asia, creating a thrilling and highly competitive atmosphere over three intense days of racing.
Our swimmers rose to the occasion with immense courage, determination, and remarkable team spirit. While the competition was fierce, our team’s dedication shone brightly in both individual brilliance and collective effort.
Our team fought valiantly against strong regional contenders. We are proud to announce that our 9-10 Girls team secured a solid 8th place, while our 9-10 Boys powered their way to a fantastic 6th place finish in the overall team score! This is a tremendous achievement.
We celebrated some spectacular individual performances:
Josephine (Year 7) showcased her backstroke mastery, claiming GOLD in the 50m Backstroke and BRONZE in the 100m Backstroke!
San (Year 8) demonstrated incredible versatility and endurance, winning SILVER in the 50m Butterfly, SILVER in the 400m IM, and BRONZE in the 400m Freestyle.
Special mention to David (Year 5), Minsoo (Year 6), and San (Year 8) for their exceptional consistency, each securing a place in the Top 10 for the Overall Individual Score—a phenomenal feat!
The success stories go far beyond the medals. We had numerous heat winners and, most importantly, a ton of Personal Bests (PBs) smashed! Every single swimmer dove in and gave their absolute all in every race. The true highlight was witnessing the incredible team spirit—the cheers, support, and camaraderie for teammates echoed throughout the pool deck and truly defined our championship experience.
None of this would be possible without our amazing community. A massive thank you to our supportive parents for your endless encouragement, logistical help, and loud cheers throughout the meet. Your presence and assistance were invaluable.
Well done to every swimmer, coach, and supporter! We hope this experience has not only built great memories but has also provided valuable lessons and motivation. Let’s use this momentum to train harder, aim higher, and continue to shine in the pool.
