On Saturday 7th February, a team of five Year 12 Business and Economics students represented our school at the Charterhouse KLCC Dragon’s Den Competition alongside teams from leading international schools, including Garden International School, Sri KDU, Charterhouse and St Joseph’s.

Teams were tasked with pitching an idea to senior KLCC executives on how the organisation could improve its sustainability. Our students spent months preparing a viable proposal that stood out for its quantitative research.

Presenting first, the team delivered a clear and confident pitch. They handled the judges’ questioning with composure and insight, earning praise from judges, rival teams and accompanying teachers, with many viewing them as the team to beat.

Although the team narrowly missed out on a place in the top three, the experience was highly valuable. Their commitment and preparation were particularly impressive given that their mock examinations were taking place the very next week.

Dressed professionally and conducting themselves with maturity throughout the day, the students were excellent ambassadors for the school and helped strengthen our reputation within the international school community.

Congratulations to the team for their effort and commitment. We hope to see them return to the competition next year, and any students who will be studying Business or Economics next academic year should keep an eye out for this opportunity.
