Meddy, Graham, Nina, Vaanya, Insung, Khiar, Misaki and Ethan were waved off from school by their parents. They were bound for St Christopher's International School, near Georgetown, Penang. The children competed against 120 students from twenty other schools from all over Malaysia. Our students fully embraced the experience by making new friends with the children competing from other schools and exploring historic Georgetown.
On Day 1, the students completed activities at Gurney Bay park and the Technodrome Science Museum. On Day 2, the children competed at St Christopher's school, completing a range of team events that required them to use their knowledge, creativity and teamwork to be successful. And successful they certainly were.
Our Blue Team (Misaki, Ethan, Nina + Graham) placed 2nd overall and won the Silver Trophy - only 1 point away from winning the whole event and successfully defending the trophy they won in Year 4. Our Red Team (Insung, Vaanya, Meddy, Khiar) placed 10th out of 30 teams. All the BSKL students represented the school with great maturity, skill, intelligence and showed the values that make our school so special. Well done to all eight students, we are incredibly proud of all of you.
