We were delighted to welcome 28 students from Years 3-9 for a morning of competition, advanced academics and, most importantly, collaboration. Working in teams of 2 or 3, the students completed collaborative quizzes, essay writing and debating - all without the help of any technology, devices were completely banned.
The students excelled in their teams, combining their knowledge and skills to ensure that, as a team, they produced consistent answers to the quiz questions and a detailed, persuasive essay. In the debate, the event moved to more friendly competition as the students respectfully argued in the affirmative and negative about the proposition: 'if animals could talk, they would mainly warn us about our treatment of the environment.'
This event was a practice competition for the World Scholar's Cup (WSC) Regional Round which BSKL will host on Tues-Weds 7-8th April. Last year, 900 students from across Malaysia gathered at our school for two days of competition, with 44 BSKL students entering the event. All 44 of them qualified for the Global Round last year!

Events like these teach the students so much, not just academically but socially as well, and give meaningful opportunities to deepen knowledge and build skills. We would be delighted to welcome your child to either of these forthcoming events.
