Hari Raya festive cheer at BSKL

Hari Raya festive cheer at BSKL - Hari Raya
Our school Hari Raya celebration brought together students, families and staff in a warm and lively atmosphere.

Our Secondary School Hari Raya celebration brought together students, families and staff in a warm and lively atmosphere. The food booths were a highlight of the morning, giving students the chance to try a wide variety of traditional and home-style dishes enjoyed during Hari Raya. Students thoroughly enjoyed exploring new flavours. The event created a lively and inclusive atmosphere, encouraging cultural appreciation and meaningful interactions across the school community. We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to all the parents and guardians who contributed dishes and supported the booths. Your involvement played a key role in making this experience both memorable and enriching for our students.

Meanwhile, our Primary Hari Raya Assembly was a vibrant celebration, with students from different year groups performing a variety of Raya themed songs and dances. Through a short storyline titled “The Missing ‘Maaf’: A Raya Journey,” students explored the idea that Hari Raya is not complete without forgiveness. The story showed that beyond festive traditions like new clothes, gifts and food, the true meaning of Raya lies in kindness, making good choices and seeking forgiveness. The assembly ended with a joyful finale, reminding everyone of the spirit of “Maaf Zahir dan Batin”, a Malay phrase that means asking for and giving forgiveness, both outwardly and from the heart.
