BSKL U15 Girls crowned FOBISIA Football Plate Champions - U15 FOBISIA Football Tournament
BSKL’s U15 girls were crowned FOBISIA Football Plate Champions after a remarkable display of resilience, determination, and teamwork at Rugby School Thailand. Alongside the boys’ strong 5th place finish in a fiercely competitive field, the tournament highlighted the spirit and character that define BSKL sport.

Hosted by Rugby School Thailand, this year’s U15 FOBISIA Football Tournament brought together some of the region’s strongest school teams for two action-packed days of competition. Played in a 9-a-side format with 40-minute matches, the tournament featured more than 200 hours of football across an intensely competitive weekend.

BSKL’s boys delivered a strong and spirited performance throughout the tournament, competing in a field where margins between first and sixth place were exceptionally narrow. Every match was fiercely contested, with the team demonstrating determination, composure, and attacking intent across the weekend. Despite narrowly missing several key opportunities that could have altered the final standings, the boys secured a commendable 5th place finish, underlining the high level of competition on display.

The standout story of the weekend came from the girls’ team, who produced a remarkable display of resilience and unity to be crowned Plate Champions. Travelling with only 10 players, the squad showed exceptional character from start to finish, never allowing fatigue or setbacks to affect their intensity and commitment on the pitch.

Their determination was most evident during a dramatic penalty shootout victory in the final stages of the competition. Maegan (Year 7) delivered an outstanding performance in goal, saving three penalties before confidently converting one herself. Teja (Year 9) then stepped up to score the decisive penalty with composure and conviction, sealing a memorable victory for BSKL.

Even after finishing their final match with just nine players on the field, the girls continued to fight until the very end, embodying the spirit, teamwork, and resilience that define BSKL sport.

A huge thank you goes to all parents who supported the teams both in person and online, as well as to Ms Beacroft, Mr Cooney, and Mr O’Connor for their dedication, coaching support, and guidance throughout the tournament.

U15 FOBISIA Football 2027, BSKL will be back.
